AC Hotel Atlanta Downtown

I checked out around 8:40 a.m. on 1/6/2026 after checking in normally on 1/3/2026. I’d had a normal stay, visiting eateries, working out, and going to Falcons games. At the airport I realized I’d left my Apple Watch in the room. Find My showed it at the property, so after about 10 minutes trying to reach someone, I reported it and asked them to mail it. My flight was cancelled shortly afterward, so I called again to say I’d come back for the watch since I’d be delayed until the next day. Then Find My stopped showing it, even though the watch was fully charged. I got to the hotel around 1 p.m. and they said they couldn’t find it. I had no basis to accuse anyone then, so I left. A few days later, back home, it pinged at the property. I screenshotted that and immediately called and emailed everyone associated with the property. After that, it stopped pinging again. The next day it pinged 9 miles away at 2323 Piedmont street in Piedmont heights. I shared that with the property too. It seems clear to me someone took the watch, but I don’t know who. Could a new guest have found it? Was it an inside job, or the housekeeping manager? You’ll find out soon via shaderoom. I love Marriott, but learning this property isn’t managed by Marriott made everything make sense. Management hasn’t tried to help or reimburse me. Be wary, and do not stay here. Try to stay at Midtown AC, which is actually managed by Marriott.

The one thing I liked was being close to everything downtown. Otherwise, I wouldn’t stay here again. The front desk staff were rude, and we asked for towels twice but never got them. The rooms weren’t comfortable either. Valet costs $55 a day, and it felt forced. I only needed parking for one night but was charged for every night I was there. I had to call multiple times to get the charge reversed. Valet should be optional, and if I choose it, then I’ll tip.

Bianca at the bar was amazing, and the front desk staff were friendly. The lobby level has lots of places to sit, lounge, or get work done. Breakfast was good, and the dining area was clean. Our one-night trip went really well. The room was clean, the hotel was nice, and noise was minimal. We’ll definitely be back.

I wouldn’t book here if cleanliness matters to you. There were far more ants than I expected, including dead ones all over the floor and along the room edges. It looked like an ongoing issue, not something that had just happened overnight. They moved me to another room when I went to the front desk, which I appreciated, but I couldn’t relax after seeing that. I spent the rest of the stay checking corners and worrying about my belongings instead of enjoying myself. Management offered a $10 per night bar credit and 10,000 points. That felt dismissive for a sanitation problem, and neither offer changes the fact that the room shouldn’t have been assigned like that. It makes me concerned about housekeeping and pest control, and about why nobody caught it before check-in. No credits or points can undo the feeling of walking in and going, “ewww.”
