I booked last minute over Labor Day weekend because everywhere else was full or too expensive. In hindsight, I should’ve paid more. The area felt really scary, with a strip club on one side and a run-down gas station on the other. It had bulletproof glass around the cashier, and there was someone on the corner I’m pretty sure was a drug dealer. The rooms smelled like a musty basement and were falling apart. Their idea of repairs seemed to be covering things with caulk. Wallpaper was peeling, the bathroom had mold, and the tub was coming apart. The door looked like it had been kicked in and fixed several times. The AC was insanely loud and seemed to dump condensation onto the carpet, which was wet for four feet around it. Skip this place.

I had a mixed to positive stay over four days. The room seemed clean, and the beds were comfortable with big pillows. There was also a refrigerator, microwave, and hot shower. It’s near downtown, Walmart, and lots of restaurants. On the downside, the WiFi didn’t work, cable TV only had ten channels, and the bathroom light was out, so I moved a lamp in to see. I had to reactivate my key card three times, and it wasn’t because of my cellphone.

After the Judge told my daughter she’d get 6 months to the door if she hit me again, I needed somewhere to stay. Trevor & Anita helped with my spiritual and physical need for sleep, and the cost was worth it for the encouragement and rest. The Waffle House staff were great too. Thank you Jesus for good people like me.

Caution, stay away. I saw a rat come out from behind the TV stand last night, and switching rooms didn’t help. I found roaches, ants, and leaf bugs too. The buildings are falling apart, and the rooms are full of mildew and mold. I put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door, and they came in anyway. I’d set it up to know if they did. Before going into the room, I went to the front desk from hell to ask for cups. The girl picked them up with her bare cooty hands and tried to hand them to me. The manager said I was rude for asking for plastic-covered cups, then got even more ghetto funky. The front desk staff were disrespectful and highly unprofessional. There’s a strip club next door, and pimps, drug dealers, and weird old men around.

Don’t go there, especially for $70. The front desk service was horrible, and they said no room change was possible because there was no availability. My room was falling apart, the bathroom ceiling was coming down, and the carpet had patches of different colors. The TV had no remote, and the room smelled like a dead body. It looks like a rat hole.
