Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Midtown

Anthony turned a really rough night around for us. My family was stranded in Atlanta after missing a connection, with flights cancelled and the city packed the night before the opening FIFA game in Atlanta. We were exhausted, it was 3:00am, and I was losing it after getting no useful help elsewhere. Anthony took my call, helped us book a room, and was friendly when we arrived. He also quickly brought extra bedding so my son could sleep on the floor, along with the toiletries we needed. The stay was comfortable, and his service made a frustrating situation much easier. Nija made my visit memorable with the kind of customer service that’s hard to find. She welcomed me warmly, handled check-in efficiently, and took time to answer my questions and make sure I was comfortable. She represents the hotel exceptionally well. I’d definitely stay here again, and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves.

The room lights were bright without being harsh, and the bathroom was bright too, with very good water pressure. Smart TVs made it easy to watch Netflix, YouTube, and other services. The view was great, and having the lobby, bar, and breakfast on the top floor was a nice touch.

After flying all night, I arrived in the morning and couldn’t get into the hotel. The front door was locked, with a sign telling guests to use a key card, but I hadn’t checked in and didn’t have one. I tried the call box four or five times with no answer. A security guard inside said he couldn’t buzz anyone in, so I was left outside until someone finally let me in through the call box. At the desk, I was told there’d be an extra $80 charge for checking in before 3 PM. I travel for business quite a bit and had never been charged for early check-in before. The desk employee was rude and explained hotel operations and billing to me, then said I hadn’t paid for the room. I’d prepaid a month earlier, but it took a long time for him to find the payment. The rooms also feel dated and heavily used. The service was horrible. I wouldn’t stay here. Find a different hotel.
