The beds were cozy, and the food was amazing. What made the stay special for me was meeting Ms. chef Theresa. She greeted me with a great smile and was so friendly. I felt appreciated. I’ll definitely be back in the summer. Thanks, Hilton, for the incredible stay and wonderful staff.

I was at the hotel for a Career Event hosted by APPA and drove our company Ford Transit Cargo Van, which is about 10ft tall. It couldn’t enter the parking garage because the clearance was only 6ft. I asked Jamel in Valet where I could leave it. He directed me to the other side of the breeze way, behind two other government vehicles, as the security cameras should show. No other parking option was offered. When I returned to valet to get the van, a woman whose name I can’t remember said the event parking would cost $45. I asked to speak with her manager about a discount or prorated rate since the garage couldn’t take my vehicle. Thomas came over, but didn’t offer useful help or ideas. I said I was willing to pay, and asked if they could take $10 off because I hadn’t been given another place to park. His communication and customer service were well below par for someone in a leadership role at the Hilton. A better attitude, a $10 credit, and guidance about oversized parking could have avoided all this. Disappointed, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

A few things could use attention: some elevator lights were out inside and outside, which took a moment to figure out, and the bath towels felt rough and due for replacement. I don’t understand why hotels still offer two double beds when there was plenty of room for two queens. The beds were comfortable, though. The room at Hilton Atlanta was spacious, clean, and nice, with lots of USB outlets and a wireless phone charger. I’d stay again without hesitation.

After the room change, I had no further problems, but several days later I spotted an overcharge of about $300 per night on my bill. I was probably charged the higher rate because the new room was larger. Mike Redlin from security helped me contact the front desk, who said the money would be refunded within a few business days. A month went by without it, so I got back in touch with Mike. He made sure the refund was completed and followed up with me until it came through. It had been a long process, but his persistence and professionalism got it resolved, and I really appreciate his support. I’d initially reported a cockroach in my room, possibly after turning up the AC and making it too warm. The front desk sent me to security, who documented it briefly and promptly moved me to a better room. A few days after checkout, Mike had also checked in with me about how the stay went.
