Maybe the place will improve once the remodel is done, but this was a disappointing last night in Georgia. The restaurant and bar looked like a 6th grade class had set them up, and when we walked in we had to figure things out ourselves. The front desk wasn’t much better. They didn’t seem to make any effort to keep things comfortable outside the room during construction. If you just need somewhere near the airport, I guess it’s okay.

Leaving was much like arriving. We waited for the airport shuttle from 325am to 400 am. The 330 shuttle never came, and when the driver finally arrived, he had a friend riding with him. Service was terrible overall, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The food was either microwaved or deep fried, served on paper plates with plastic utensils, but priced like a sit-down restaurant. The carrot cake was great, though. The property was in heavy renovation: the pool, restaurant, and lobby were all closed, while the website only said “some public areas closed.” The gym equipment needs replacing, as the photo shows. Our three-night stay started badly. We got there around 1030pm, but the first keys didn’t work, and neither did the next set. Then we found out someone else was already in the room. The front desk guy seemed completely indifferent. We didn’t get into a room until almost midnight, and had to be escorted since he couldn’t make more keys. The rooms were outdated and needed repairs, with peeling wallpaper, a leaking tub spout, loose handles, and chipping paint.

The room was spacious, clean, and close to the airport, and there was a big field where I could walk the dogs. That’s about where the positives end. The hotel is very outdated, the pool was drained and closed, and breakfast was very limited with no complimentary drinks. The staff weren’t the most pleasant I’ve met.

I booked and checked in on the app, choosing one room, but when my digital key was ready they’d put me in another room and charged $17 more without explaining why. The hotel didn’t greet me when I walked in. In the room, the closet was missing one panel, leaving only one mirrored panel on the door. They advertise breakfast, but there wasn’t really any. There was a waffle maker and a locked mini fridge with water and juice, but no attendant around to unlock it. The location was okay. I only stayed one night and don’t think I’d come back.
