We left already talking about coming back. The room was comfortable and clean, with what we needed for a relaxing beach trip, and the property seems well cared for despite having limited staff. There’s just one staff member handling check-ins and guest needs, and they managed it all with kindness, efficiency, and a welcoming manner. That personal care made the stay memorable. Sand Dollar Motel has real character and charm, and we were impressed and grateful for the service.

This place was so clean, with beautiful views, and the man who greeted us made us feel like family. If you don’t meet Billy, you’re missing out. He’s what really made the experience for us.

The rooms were super clean and the location was good. We had a great trip, and the guy who helped us was so sweet and kind. I’m not sure if he was the owner. We checked out early because we missed our child at home, but it was a great stay and we’d stay again. Thank you!

Billy went out of his way to help and make things comfortable. I booked one night in a queen efficiency room, and it was clean with everything I expected and then some. I’ll be back.

The location was convenient, about two blocks from the water, with lots of good restaurants within 15-20 minutes. But the room was very dirty: piles of dirt on the floor, old food crumbs across the stove, fingernail clippings on the bathroom floor, and black mold on the ceiling above the shower. We were the only guests there, so it didn’t seem like anyone was in a rush to clean. The Expedia pictures for the Atlantic beach location absolutely weren’t of this place. I’ve included images of the listing and the actual room. We were told there’d be three queen beds, but got two queens and a full instead.
