DoubleTree by Hilton Atlantic Beach Oceanfront

Caroline was incredibly helpful when I booked a last-minute room at an affordable rate for my daughter’s soccer tournament. The pool was clean and heated, and breakfast was better than typical hotel food. We’ll be back, and I highly recommend it.

The restaurant and bar have been consistently good on our visits. Kelsey and Clinton make you feel welcome, the kitchen gets food out quickly, and it’s reliable. We love the tuna tacos and homemade potato chips. The kids are always happy with breakfast, especially the pancakes and French toast, and Chi greeted us warmly and served us quickly. Jessica and Peyton at the front desk are friendly and responsive, and check-in is easy. The clean rooms are always ready when we arrive and have amazing ocean views. There’s also a big parking lot and easy beach access, and the location is perfect. We’ve stayed several times, love this hotel, and can’t wait to return to Atlantic Beach Doubletree. Thanks to the whole Doubletree team for taking pride in your work and making every visit enjoyable.

The service was great, and the employees were incredibly friendly. January was off season, so my stay met my expectations for that time of year. Still, I was disappointed that there are no laundry facilities at all. How does a chain hotel with such a large footprint in this city not have laundry? Also, after 9 PM the hot water seemed to be turned down, and I couldn’t get a shower warmer than lukewarm. This place could be a really nice option for the area, but there’s room to improve.

The rooms need upgrades, and the old carpet has a stale smell. The elevators also seemed sketchy, so I wouldn’t pay peak-season prices for rooms in this condition. I was here for two off-season nights in December, though, and the rates were great. The location is the best part, with lovely beach views and access. From my balcony I could watch both sunrise and sunset, something I’ve never been able to do before. Staff were friendly and professional. I had a $17 hamburger in the restaurant, which was good, and the homemade chips were tasty too. It was overpriced, but the $15 food credit for Gold Hhonors members made it worthwhile. I enjoyed my time here.
