We booked the Presidential Suite for my brother's bachelor party because there weren't many places nearby with rooms for a group. It ended up being the best part of our trip. The suite had two bedrooms, two pullout couches, a small indoor balcony, a Jacuzzi in the main room, and all-night access to the little rooftop pool and Jacuzzi. The kitchen had everything we'd need to put on a full dinner, and the whole place was clean. The employees were lovely and helped us with whatever we needed. It's not a super fancy casino hotel, but we're not fancy people either. My only small gripe: the pool table was showing its age and was missing a few balls when I borrowed them from the game room. Still, I guess having a game room at all is a perk.

Our unit was spotless, cleaner than plenty of other places we've stayed, so the negative comments I read about room cleanliness didn't match our experience. It's a homey place, not one of those shiny, slick hotels with a casino downstairs. I don't see why anyone would be unhappy with it. Perfect for a...

We couldn't get into the garage, which was locked, and the hotel's entrance required someone to buzz us in. The customer service was awful. We called to cancel after the attendant refused to show us a room. It wasn't 4:00 check-in yet, but maybe there was something available. Nobody answered the phone. We booked through Expedia, and the place didn't look like its listing. It's in a not-so-nice area too. We ended up finding a better price for Friday and Saturday at the taj. I can't really comment on the room since they never let us see it.

The manager and one staff member were nasty. On my first night, there was a roach on the headboard in ROOM 402. They moved me to Room 802, but I was so scared of bringing roaches home that I wouldn't put my bags on the floor. I wish I'd checked earlier reviews mentioning bugs. This place is filthy, absolutely do not stay here. It deserves zero stars.

The building's old, but that doesn't mean it has to be dirty. I can't decide what's worse, the front desk staff or the cleanliness. Most of the staff are rude and they never return calls. The hotel would be better off hiring ex-convicts at the desk. How does this place stay open?
