The people here are so friendly and really accommodating, and our rooms have usually been clean and kept up well. On our most recent stay, the room we got comped was beautiful, with windows all around, a bedroom, living room, a small kitchen, and a huge bathroom. Love staying at the Atmore. I'd highly recommend booking if you want to visit this fun casino.

The food was one of the best parts of our stay, probably the best place to eat around here, and we got incredibly lucky on the floor and won a ton of money. My girlfriend and I felt like family from the moment we arrived. The staff really go out of their way to look after you, which makes it feel welcoming in a way you don't find everywhere. For a getaway, good food, or a chance to win big, Wind Creek was great. We can't wait to return!

The place is out in the middle of nowhere, but there's everything you need for a short getaway. We went to Wind Creek for a quick weekend and the staff were helpful and friendly everywhere we went. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived early, but they texted us an hour later to say we could check in. It was spacious, very clean, and thoughtfully laid out. The bathroom had lots of counter space for toiletries and a great shower pressure. There's also a fridge and enough counter space to put together a snack or cocktail before heading out. At the slot machines, you can press the cocktail button to order a free drink, and it gets brought over really quickly.

Denise from housekeeping was the one person who treated me kindly. She lent me a charger so I could get my dead phone working again, and I appreciate her for that. My experience with Courtney, the hotel supervisor on duty, and Kenneth, the security supervisor, was completely different. I've been to the Atmore location several times over more than 10 years and have never been spoken to this way. I'm still upset and at a loss, and the encounter left me crying, ashamed, and helpless. I had been drinking that morning and didn't feel safe driving. My mom had called security for a wellness check after she couldn't reach me because my phone was dead. I realized it was 10:30 a.m., with checkout at 11, and went to the front desk to say I couldn't drive. I believed that if a guest told the hotel they were too intoxicated to drive, staff would take their car keys and put them in a room. Courtney said another night would cost $99. I explained that the card they had on file had no money on it, and asked about the policy. She said she couldn't comp another night herself and would call security. I thought she was calling to explain the situation so they could arrange a comp. Kenneth was rude from the start. Courtney told him I was still too intoxicated to drive and had no money on the card. He said people who'd been drinking just sat somewhere on the property until they were fit to drive. When I mentioned what I'd previously been told about turning in my keys and staying in a room, he said if I kept carrying on, as he put it, he'd have me banned. I asked what I'd done to deserve that. I hadn't been belligerent or used foul language. He threatened to call the police, though I don't know why, and said if I kept talking he wouldn't tell Courtney to comp the room or do anything to help me. Courtney let me stay until noon, then said I'd have to sit downstairs or outside. Kenneth only spoke to me in a condescending way and made threats about the police and banning me. I wasn't trying to get a free room. I was willing to pay the $99. Since my phone was dead, I couldn't transfer money to the card on file so they could charge me. I only wanted a little extra time to sober up and drive myself home. I did nothing wrong, and I've spent a lot of money there while always being polite to staff. When I asked for Kenneth's supervisor, he said he didn't have their information but would pass along my complaint. I have no confidence he would actually do that. Courtney seemed focused only on payment, and I don't know what Kenneth's problem was. They both need retraining in guest hospitality. I'm convinced Windcreek cares only about taking your money, not your safety. I pray I never have to go through this again. Lesson learned.

The first interaction at Wind Creek Casino (Atmore) ruined the evening for me, and it took a couple of minutes to settle down afterward. My two friends and I arrived around 1 a.m. on January 24, hoping for drinks and some late-night fun. We went to the only open bar, but hadn't had a chance to order yet. While we stood there, I was lightly tapping my whole hand on the bar, just keeping a little rhythm with the upbeat "It's Electric" jackpot jingle playing loudly over the speakers. It's the same casino-wide celebration that plays when someone wins big. The bartender sharply told me to stop, with no warmth or smile, in a condescending tone that made me feel like a disruptive child. I calmly asked, "Did you just tell me to stop tapping on the bar?" He confirmed it in the same scolding, dismissive way. Since it was the only bar open, I eventually went back and bought a drink anyway, but the whole evening had been soured before I'd even ordered. I was just enjoying the celebratory music the casino itself plays, and basic courtesy costs nothing. In a casino that's supposed to welcome guests and build excitement, treating a paying customer rudely before they've even said anything about drinks is unacceptable. It reflects badly on management and staff training, drives people away, and spoils what should be an enjoyable experience. I'm deeply disappointed. Management needs to address this hospitality lapse urgently.
