HiWay Inn of Atoka

A guy came in to clean our room one morning while we were there, and he was cool. Jorge will always be a true homie. The rooms were clean, though my sheets had some... suspicious stains. The woman at the desk looked like a zombie. In summer, the AC seems too small for the room and takes a while to cool it down. Still, it was fine overall. You can stay here, it’s okay.

Spacious, sure, but the room felt cavernous, and you hear everything from the neighbors. Road noise is really loud, especially if you’re by the stairs. The bedspread and towels look like they’re from the 1970s, and the TV might be 24 inches. It’s very bare bones, with no paper or pen to jot down the Wi-Fi details, which aren’t posted in the room, so you have to call the desk. The toilet seat was loose enough to feel like it might fall off. If you’re over 6'3, you may not fit in the shower. It seems clean, but it’s cheap and shows it. This is a Motel 6 now, and I don’t know which place the other reviewers are describing, but it isn’t this one. Hardwood floors? Lol. I’d pass.

The staff were so friendly, and the rooms were nice and clean. There are lots of places to go nearby, too. It’s a great quiet spot to rest, and I’d recommend it to anyone. You’ll love it!

The rooms are big, but it’s like a sweat lodge if you want to sleep. The AC units are too small for rooms that size. Avoid it if you like cold air conditioning. It finally got the room down to 76 degrees, but that took all night. I couldn’t sleep.
