The price was good, and the stray cat family by the pool was friendly. The staff were kind too, including the third-shift workers who helped us when we arrived late. The reservation and check-in both went smoothly. Still, we won’t stay here again. Our car was surrounded by ankle-deep water in the morning, even though the parking lot had been mostly dry when we went to bed. We also saw water bubbling up through the sidewalk in front of the rooms. The drainage clearly needs attention. Inside, the room smelled bad, and so did the sheets. The bedding was thin, rough, and seemed poorly washed; the few pillows were flat and uncomfortable. The air conditioner mostly felt like a fan and didn’t cool the room well. Breakfast was just waffles and what looked like basic packaged muffins, so it felt like an afterthought. The friendly front desk staff deserve credit, but they couldn’t make up for the room, the bedding, the poor drainage, the weak AC, or the disappointing breakfast.

The Thursday night and Friday morning attendant was very kind and helpful. Earlier, though, we were first given a room that was already occupied. When I went back to report it, the attendant was smoking something that smelled like pot, then came with me and switched our room. The entry key barely worked. They thought the battery might be dead, but it turned out the lock was just old, so we had to keep trying until it finally let us in. The bathroom floor needed sweeping, and there were marks on the wall that looked like blood. The room also smelled strongly of mold. When we first arrived, the barely lit property looked almost deserted. This stay convinced me I won’t book a Super 8 again.

The room was clean, smelled fine, and had a nice feel to it. The woman working there was courteous and very nice. The shower water got amazingly hot, but the beds were so hard that sleeping was rough. When we arrived, we also had to keep our daughter inside because the person in the room next to us let a huge black dog bolt out and chase a cat.

I was here for about a month and would recommend it. The rates are reasonable, the staff are friendly, and the rooms are clean with comfortable beds. It’s pet friendly, and I didn’t see a single insect during my stay.
