Hotel Auburn Hills

We travel together for work almost every week, and this is a great hotel. The breakfast is outstanding, with lots of choices, and the cooks will make an omelet if you want one. Staff are friendly, housekeeping is helpful, and reception is great. The restaurant is good, and the bar is a nice touch. There's a huge pool, hot tub, and modern fitness center, plus meeting and training rooms. The hotel works for a one-night stay or a much longer one. I met an elderly lady who had been there for over five years and a couple who were still staying after two years. There are two glass elevators with a nice view. All rooms open to the hallway, and some are along a walkway overlooking the main dining and social areas. They have new WiFi and TV equipment, with large screens and live and streaming channels.

The photos are from when this was Embassy Suites, and it isn't owned by Embassy anymore, so it doesn't look like the pictures. For the price I paid through Expedia, it was okay. The carpets and couch were nasty. Our TV didn't work at first, but the front desk attendants were nice and moved us to another room. The heat was set to 75, yet the room felt like 60.

It's a little older, but still in excellent shape. The bar and grill serves good food, and the hot breakfast is good too. The price is excellent, and it's only a three-minute drive to and from work. It covers all the basics I need when I'm staying out of town for work, so I'd give it five stars.

I had to cancel on the day of my reservation because there was no hot water and the pool was closed. This was on 3/8/26. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place, though the receptionist was polite and professional.
