Quality Inn Auburn Hills - Detroit North

The Wi-Fi was my one real issue. The connection wasn’t good. Otherwise, I had a peaceful stay, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was pretty decent. The place is thoughtfully designed, the parking lot felt safe and was well lit, and the price made it a great experience. I’d happily stay here again.

Amanda at the front desk really went out of her way to help us. When the TV in our first room didn’t work, she moved us to another room right away. It was clean and had plenty of towels, soap, and shampoo. I’d give Amanda five extra stars on her own.

The room was a mess of problems. There was mold around the tub and on some towels, the fan had no dials, the hairdryer didn’t work, the toilet barely worked, the TV gave us trouble, and the fridge was barely functional. We also got four tiny pillows. When I asked the front desk for more, nobody got back to us. I went down, and the guy asked, “Don’t you already have 4 pillows?” Why should that matter? It’s none of your business why I need more, and those pillows were puny. Breakfast was just as disappointing. The apple juice came out like water. We told the staff, but the maintenance guy, who seemed completely miserable, just watched TV and drank coffee instead of fixing it. There weren’t any tissues in the room either. A budget hotel shouldn’t feel like a trash hotel. This place could be called Quantity Inn, because there may be plenty of them, but the quality is garbage. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Nick was really friendly and went out of his way to help when my car battery died. The rooms are really nice too, and the service was great. I’ll come back whenever I’m in the Auburn Hills area.
