The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was decent. Housekeeping did a very nice job each day, and I liked the hotel layout, though stair access was limited and poorly signed. I prefer stairs to elevators. I’d reserved and confirmed a Superior King Room, including by phone the day before and on arrival day, but was given a handicap-accessible room with a queen bed instead. It was nice and the bed was comfortable, but it wasn’t what I’d booked. A few things needed attention. There was no fitted sheet, just a top sheet tucked under the mattress that didn’t cover it properly. A wall showed signs of a leak from the floor above and should be repaired. The toilet was running when I arrived. I adjusted the float myself, though it seemed like an existing issue that should have been fixed beforehand. The toilet paper holder was so loose the roll could fall if it wasn’t positioned just right. The shower curtain rod and towel rack were loose too. If I’d been in a wheelchair, I’d have been very worried about the curtain rod falling while I adjusted it. These basic maintenance problems, especially in an accessible room, should be caught by housekeeping. Google Reviews doesn’t support video, or I’d show how loose those items were. The lobby’s ?air freshener? was overpowering. I’ve never reacted to a smell before, but this nearly killed me, figuratively, and I had to buy allergy medicine.

We stayed overnight this past week while my daughter interviewed at Auburn. The hotel is right in the heart of downtown, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. I didn’t like having to pay for parking, and the maids came to clean before checkout time. Because of the parking fee, I may try somewhere off campus next time.

The location is ideal, across from the library at the edge of campus. Our room was spotless, with a lovely bathroom and walk-in shower. The coffee bar and attached Italian restaurant were tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were attentive and friendly too. We loved everything and would definitely recommend it!

The hotel was clean and festive for the holidays, and being across the street from campus made it easy to walk around without hearing much noise. Service was excellent throughout. A parking note in one of the reminder emails would help. You have to check in first to get a key card before using the hotel’s reserved garage levels next door. We drove up, then had to turn around and go back.

I was in Auburn for two programs at the Auburn Public Library and stayed here. The hotel was great and lived up to expectations. I especially liked the historic photos displayed throughout. Seeing Auburn at Christmas was lovely too. I’d definitely recommend checking the hotel out.
