Springside Inn

We found the peace and quiet we wanted at this small-town inn. It was about 15 minutes from Mirbeau Spa, had flexible check-in, and upgraded our room. The bed was comfy, the jacuzzi bath was lovely, and everything looked beautiful. They served a simple breakfast by a fireplace, with bagels, pastries, coffee, and orange juice. We also liked having an ATM there. It seems like a lovely place for events, and we'll definitely come back when we're in the area again.

We stayed in room 22 for two nights. It was nicely decorated and had a spacious bathroom. The inn is across from Owasco Lake, and we enjoyed walking nearby on a warm day in February. The setting is beautiful, probably even more so when it's not covered in snow, though we couldn't really experience the grounds. At first, it felt like being in a big house with strangers because you can hear everything. It got quieter at night, and we slept comfortably. Still, no one was there when we checked in, and the first person we saw was at checkout. It was odd not having anyone around if questions came up. Events downstairs also make it noisy, and breakfast is just coffee or tea, juice, Special K cereal, and bagels. We enjoyed our time at Springside Inn, but probably wouldn't stay again.

The jacuzzi was great, and the place was very clean. Breakfast was fine, too. It felt a little unusual that there was no staff around overnight, but everything went smoothly. A quiet, charming, comfortable stay last night.

The continental breakfast was plentiful, though seating was limited because an event was planned in the dining room next door. We had a clean, comfortable room in a well-kept inn, and the staff were friendly. My husband and I stayed two nights during Dickens Christmas in Skaneateles and enjoyed ourselves. We'd definitely stay again. One suggestion: bottled water in the mini fridge would be helpful. We arrived late and hadn't thought to bring any.
