The WiFi was poor, as expected, and the guy at the front desk gave me a whole speech about how obvious the password should be when I’d only just arrived. It wasn’t worth asking. There’s not much for kids to enjoy here, so I wouldn’t bring them. I gave two stars because the surroundings didn’t bother me, coming from the hood myself. My main concern is that I feel like I’m being watched in my room. I know some inns operate that way. This place isn’t for the faint of heart.

Roaches! My daughter dropped a french fry and the roaches swarmed it like they were about to lose the Super Bowl. I asked for a refund because we don’t do roaches, but he refused with a smile. No worries. That $150 is nothing compared to what they will face. The pen is mightier than the sword!

An abusive ex showed up and lied, claiming he was staying with me and needed my room number and a key. The front desk gave him both my room number and a key to my room. When I opened my eyes and saw him standing over me, I felt my soul leave my body. A lot more happened too, but this is just a small piece of it. Stay at your own risk.

Country hearth was very affordable, and the room was clean and quiet. My family and I came to town because of unexpected family events, and we were glad to be welcomed. Even with a golf tournament going on, the staff went out of their way to help us during our stay.

At an average online booking price of $50-65 after tax, this hotel would be one of my top budget hotel recommendations.
