Motel 6 Augusta, GA - Fort Gordon

We left after two and a half hours, even though we’d only tried to get away from home for one night. The door looked like it had been kicked in before, and there were dog fights going on above us. A woman asked us for our room key, and the smell of weed came from every direction. My youngest dog was terrified. When we checked out, the woman said, “if it’s about the fights, I don’t care.” I don’t understand how this could be a corporate hotel. If it is, corporate needs to take it away from them. I’ll never stay at another motel 6.

Precious is a friendly face and gives great service. The rooms are comfortable, and the location makes it easy to get to most things. I enjoy staying here.

Most of the rooms are nice, clean, and smell fresh, whether you book a studio or a regular room. Free wifi and cable work well, the elevator works, and having a washer and dryer available is a plus. They make great coffee in the office each morning, and check-in comes with smiles and laughs. The housekeepers are great and honest, so I don’t worry about them coming in to clean. It’s a good spot for travelers, especially people coming for the masters. Everyone is friendly, though service could use a bit of a push. My first few days were rough, but once the staff got used to me, they opened up and gave four-star service. I wish they’d been that way from the start, but oh well.

The room felt fresh and was clean, even though it looked a bit dated. The front desk staff were friendly and greeted me as soon as I walked in.
