My Place Hotel Augusta GA

I slept well every night during Thanksgiving week because it was so peaceful. The rooms were clean, nicely arranged, and beautiful, and the staff were friendly and ready to help. The location was convenient, too. I really enjoyed the stay and would come back. It would be great if they added a fitness room, especially for guests staying longer than a day or two.

The front desk staff could have been friendlier, and the AC was only okay. If you need the room really cold, you may be disappointed. Still, I found this a great deal: $109 after taxes for one night on 9/26/25, or $90 before tax. The hotel had opened less than a month earlier, and the room and bathroom looked spotless and brand new. My bed was comfortable, and there was overhead lighting and a full kitchen with a full-size fridge and freezer. With just 64 units, the place was quiet. I’d rate it 8.6/10.

Booking on Expedia or another third-party site may cost less than reserving directly. My room itself was clean and comfortable, and I slept very well, though the throw blanket shed so much lint that it got on my clothes and in my hair. A better-quality blanket would help. I was also put next to a guest whose dog barked through the night and into the morning. When I called the front desk, the general manager answered, said “they’re right here,” then hung up without apologizing or offering help. Guests without pets shouldn’t be placed beside them, and complaints deserve a more professional response. Apart from that, the stay was good.

The rooms were clean and still had that new-hotel smell, which made sense since the place had only been open a few months. But the shower pressure was poor, and we couldn’t get the AC to work right. Noise made the night worse: a man and woman who worked there stood outside talking and laughing loudly, repeatedly, throughout the night. People upstairs also sounded like they were partying until morning, walking across the floor, and woke me a couple of times. The beds weren’t good either. Mine was hard, and I probably wouldn’t stay again. My family and I were traveling from Florida to Tennessee, and aside from those problems, the hotel was good.
