I've stayed there plenty of times without any problems, but the man at the desk that day was rude as hell. The cleaning lady couldn't do her job properly with her boyfriend following her into every room, so they put him to work too.

I've stayed there so many times for different reasons, and I know you get what you pay for. Still, the man working the desk at night kept answering my call and hanging up while I was trying to get transferred to my room. I get that he might not be able to transfer the call, but repeatedly picking up and hanging up like I couldn't come up there was bizarre. After all those stays, being treated rudely for no reason really pissed me off.
My so-called no smoking room smelled so strongly of cigarettes that it gave me a migraine. I had to sit in my truck just to breathe. The text line for problems was useless, nobody answered, and they wouldn't cancel, refund me, or fix anything. The bed felt filthy, like something was biting me as soon as I sat down. I've stayed at plenty of budget motels, but this place was a dirty, smoke-filled nightmare. Don't waste your money, you'll regret it. There's no way the positive reviews are real. This is hands down the worst place to stay in Augusta, GA.
The room was musty, with a mildew smell like clothes left damp in a dryer. We tried to put up with it for about 30 minutes, then I went to the desk. The woman working there said there were no other rooms and asked if I could just spray something. I told her no, because spraying or lighting a candle won't fix mildew or mold. Then it would just smell like mildew and flowers. I told her that's not how you do business, and she offered a refund, which she gave us. We left right away. I don't recommend this hotel, and it shouldn't even have the Days Inn brand name on it. My daughter and I had planned to stay for a week. The rate was first given as $55 a night, but when I asked about adding a day, she said $80. The room hadn't been properly cleaned: the toilet was dirty, the TV wasn't connected, the curtain was barely hanging up, and the door had a crack or gap and wouldn't close all the way into its frame, apparently from weather and wear.
The rooms are large and nice, but don't go barefoot or wear white socks. The floors aren't cleaned, and they'll ruin your socks and leave your feet black.
