Cambria Hotel Denver International Airport

After missing my United connection, I was given vouchers for a room and a meal here. It was exactly the restful stop I needed after the stress of traveling. My room was in great shape, with a king bed and a lovely view, and the service was wonderful. Lydia helped me with the food and made such a lovely breakfast. She’s the BEST. The front desk person was also very helpful with the shuttle. A fantastic experience all around!

We were staying at the nearby Hyatt and were sent to Cambria to do laundry. The manager kindly helped us into the laundry room and explained how everything worked. One washer and one dryer were out of service, but the other two washers and remaining dryer worked well and got the job done. He later let us use the gym scale to weigh our luggage before traveling, which helped a lot. His flexibility and genuine hospitality made a stressful travel day easier. We really appreciated the service.

We called from the airport for the shuttle, and the desk gentleman gave us clear directions through the big airport to where it picks up. The ride came promptly. The restaurant food was fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced, and I can’t say enough about it. If you want a hearty meal before heading to the slopes, this is a good place to stay. The mattress was comfortable, right between firm and soft, and the pillows were fresh and fluffy. When I asked, I was told they’re a synthetic alternative to down.

United put me here for free after I missed my flight because of a maintenance delay, which was really nice. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower and tub were good, and the soaps felt high end. Housekeeping was really good, and the front desk and bar restaurant staff were friendly. The van driver was professional and friendly too. There’s no free breakfast buffet. For maintenance and the supervisor: I’ve stayed in some one- and two-star hotels, and with good renovation work, maybe a seventh floor or the third and fourth floors could become premium suites, or the floors could have different tiers. The carpets need cleaning and the sheets a thorough wash; housekeeping did a very good job, but there’s only so much they can do. The bed and sheets could be more comfortable, though they were fairly good overall. I’d tile the bathroom ceiling, floor, and walls like at Flying J truck stops, since there are no air vents, and eventually upgrade the A/C cooling.
