At the 1833 Restaurant, Deb took exceptional care of us through two incredible meals. The food was superb. I’ve worked as a professional chef in Manhattan for over 20 years, and I thought the cooking was impressive: thoughtful, balanced, and beautifully executed. Credit to the chef and whole kitchen team. Toby, the F&B Director, also stopped by for a chat, a lovely personal touch. Michael set a warm tone at check-in with his friendly, professional hospitality. We also spent a day at the spa and had one of our most relaxing afternoons in a long time. It was a perfect chance to slow down and recharge. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, and the details throughout felt considered. My wife and I left refreshed and are already looking forward to returning to the Inns at Aura.

The grounds are beautiful and full of history, but it’s the staff who made this place feel magical. My husband and I felt so loved and cared for all week. If you want to feel like you’re in a Hallmark town, this is the place. Mike at the front desk helped us find places to go and things to do, and Judy made the chocolate and coffee tasting such a lasting memory. Mary Anne was a joy to talk with during wine hour; it felt like we’d been friends for years. Aurora cooks was a must. Lou seemed like she’d fallen straight from heaven, and her cooking was amazing. She easily catered to my milk allergy and was so much fun to be around, a real hoot. She could’ve made a week-old French fry taste good. The lemon drop I asked for at the last minute was the best I’ve ever had. The place is gorgeous, but the staff are what make it so enjoyable and fun.

We celebrated our mom’s birthday in January with a weekend at the Inns of Aurora. The suite was spacious and stunning, and the wine tasting by the fireplace at check-in was such a cozy welcome. We also had a delicious dinner at Fargo across the street. Our morning started with a one-hour guided nature hike with groundskeeper Paul. He was kind and knowledgeable, and made the walk special. Then we spent the day at the spa, where all of us had amazing massages. The sanctuary was a dream, and we left feeling relaxed and great. It was a 10/10 experience, and I’m grateful for the time together celebrating Mom. There’s a lot to do seasonally, like the lake, outdoor dining, and biking, so I’d love to come in summer next time. We can’t wait for another occasion to return. Thanks for a great stay, see you again! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The spa is luxurious and truly relaxing, and we loved being able to dine just steps from our premier suite in the main inn. We came for a long weekend anniversary stay in mid-to-late autumn and quickly found that Aurora and the inn didn’t have much going on then, especially on the weekend. Many activities seem to happen on weekdays. I can imagine there being more to do in summer, early fall, or closer to the holidays. Still, we were very comfortable relaxing in the suite. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the inn and spa were high quality. At 1833, the service was very friendly and the food fresh. Breakfast could be better, but dinner was delicious. We were surprised and touched to find a complimentary bottle of champagne in our room. The Fargo pub was also delicious, and a nice spot for a meal and drink. We watched the Bills game with plenty of other Bills fans around. It was an easy ride to other Finger Lakes towns too, where we explored parks, wineries, and shops.

The spa is a must for us. I like to arrive about two hours early, have a light lunch in the cafe that’s included with the treatment, then enjoy the outdoor heated pools before my massage. It’s especially lovely around sunset. We’ve also really enjoyed the Saturday wine shuttle, which takes you in a cute bus to the top wineries on the lake. We’ve been coming every year after Thanksgiving for nearly four years, and we try a different house each time. They’re all charming, with their own beautiful style, and the rooms are spacious but cozy. The Christmas decorations were extra beautiful the first couple of years, though they weren’t up yet on our more recent visits. We love this hotel.
