The room and bathroom were very small, and the hotel is old, though clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was fine, and I was glad to have a fridge and microwave in the room. There’s also a coffee and hot chocolate machine in the lobby around the clock. They really need a water bottle filling station. The outdoor pool wasn’t open in December. Stay alert around the nearby gas station, where there are some characters and homeless people. The hotel and parking lot were well lit, and the entry doors lock behind you.

The managers were professional, genuinely friendly, and helpful, which made a stressful emergency trip much easier. The room was carefully looked after: clean towels each day, fresh soap and lotion, and neatly made beds every morning. The cleanliness and attention to detail really impressed me, especially when many hotels have cut back on room cleaning. Breakfast also went well beyond what I expected, with so many fresh, tasty choices. I had an outstanding stay at the Best Western Plus on Koenig Ln in Austin. Room service was impeccable, and every detail was handled with care and consistency. I travel to Austin often and haven’t found this standard everywhere. Thanks to the whole staff for making a difficult trip feel positive. I’ll definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Austin.

The staff were kind and helpful, and both the hotel and grounds looked nice. Our room was clean. The mattress was firmer than I’d have liked, and since the toilet sits low, I wish there had been more grab bars in that area.

I wouldn’t stay again, since a hotel’s main job is to give you a restful night. Noise from the adjoining rooms and hallway came right through the thin walls, so it was hard to feel comfortable or have much privacy. The shower was small, and there were stains on the walls. The room could use updates and better soundproofing. The service, on the other hand, stood out in a good way. Check-in and checkout were quick, the breakfast staff were friendly, and maintenance were great too. Their hospitality made the stay welcoming, even though the accommodations weren’t up to the same standard.
