Courtyard by Marriott Austin Parmer/Tech Ridge

The staff were incredibly accommodating over the weekend of my SIL's wedding, and Christian deserves a special thank you for helping me, my husband, and brother in law get the hotel arrangements in order, especially the quick mattress change. I really believe that being kind to the staff makes a difference, and they were kind and did what they could for us. That made our stay much better. Some things in the room need attention: the guest bathroom door was hard to close and its handle tilted sideways, the bedroom TV wouldn’t turn off, and there were concerns about the rollaway mattress. I don’t blame the staff for those problems, though. They were truly wonderful. The hotel should check some of its rooms. The location was hard to beat. We were 20 minutes from downtown Austin, 15 minutes from Round Rock where my SIL was, and 25 minutes from the venue in Manor. I also found a few hidden food gems nearby, which was a big plus since I love food. Thanks for having us, everyone!

The room was only partly serviced. They replaced the towels but didn’t make the bed. The hotel itself was fine, but the water was shut off without warning except for a flyer near the elevator. Staff didn’t mention it at check-in, even though the shutoff was about to happen. The shower didn’t work for two full days. When I asked when the water would be fully back on, since we all need showers, the staff seemed bothered that I’d asked.

Ty and Jared made a stressful travel day feel manageable. They were kind about me coming back and never made me feel like a nuisance, and they genuinely checked that I was safe and comfortable. My flight had been cancelled because of the weather, so after checking out I returned without a reservation to figure out a new itinerary instead of sleeping on the floor at ATX. They let me use the clean, spacious lobby, WiFi, and other resources as my business center while I tracked my team’s safe arrival and planned an unexpected extra night. The Courtyard had rooms available, so that part was easy. Thanks to both of you. I rarely write a second review during the same work trip, but you deserve the shoutout. I’m looking forward to coming back.

I picked Marriott expecting a consistent, comfortable stay, so this room was a letdown. I could hear a lot through the thin walls from the guest next door, and there was an unpleasant smell in the room. The shower doors wouldn’t close all the way, so water leaked out, and the TV signal kept cutting in and out.
