Extended Stay America - Austin - Austin Airport

The air quality is poor, the HVAC needs cleaning, and there's mold on my vents. The building's windows don't open, and when I asked how often the HVAC gets cleaned, staff couldn't tell me. The elevator has been out for eight days. Staff said that last time it was down for three months because the vendor hired by corporate wasn't available. In a city the size of Austin, that explanation makes no sense. Why would a national company rely on one unavailable vendor without a backup? This is a hospitality business, yet corporate is mistreating both guests and employees. Who negotiated those contracts? At about midnight last Thursday, my smoke/carbon monoxide detector went off through the night, so I didn't sleep and had work in the morning. The manager said Friday morning she'd get it fixed, but it still wasn't fixed when I returned that night. I told the assistant manager yesterday and he filled out a form. I'd already reported it to another representative the day before, and he filed a maintenance form too. Before 7:00 a.m. this morning, maintenance knocked and scared me. He said the form marked my room empty, apologized, and left. I got home from work and the detector was still not fixed, and the vent still had mold. This location is listed as Premier, but this is not premiere service.

The staff make this Extended Stay stand out. The whole team provides excellent service, and General Manager Keetla Austin is especially professional and responsive, with a real commitment to guests. From a corporate perspective, I regularly look for dependable offsite accommodations, and this property exceeded expectations. It's beautiful, well maintained, and exceptionally clean, just what you want for longer stays. The gym and welcoming breakfast nook add useful comfort and convenience. I'd confidently recommend it for corporate housing or offsite stays and would consider it for future business needs.

It was much quieter and more comfortable than I expected, and the laundry facilities were quite accommodating. The one change I'd suggest is making the gym a little bigger.

The general manager Keetla was very nice, respectful, and helpful, and made check-in smooth. The rooms are decent and mostly clean for the price. There's a big parking lot that doesn't get overcrowded, and the hotel works well for a short stop or a longer stay. They're very accommodating.
