Fairfield Inn & Suites Austin Downtown

I stayed on the 14th floor and loved the atmosphere. The building is only two years old, so everything feels modern and clean, and it smells nice. The fragrance piped through the hotel mixed with barbecue smells from the great restaurant next door. The Fairfield inn in Austin is handy for downtown, and the staff were wonderful. I really enjoyed the hotel bar and bartender Evon. Daniel, the security manager, helped us feel safe, and Javier was very helpful at the front desk.

The rooms are clean and always smell good, and the location is perfect, with a beautiful park and lake a short walk away. I was able to do laundry here too. It was a lovely stay, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Austin. The team made the experience feel more like family than a Fairfield. Javier always went above and beyond to keep us comfortable and treats every guest like family. Ashlee was always smiling and made things seamless, and Bernice on the overnight shift was very nice and helpful. They gave us the best treatment, and if I could, I’d give this place 10 stars. I feel at home here, and the rooms are clean and always smell great. The team is so nice and attentive that I’ll always stay here when I’m in Austin. They treat you like family, and do a better job of that than the Marriott downtown. Javier always checks that we’re doing well. Ashlee, joi, Bernice, and rj are the best staff. Victor from housekeeping cleaned my room once. I offered him a tip, but he declined, saying he was happy to help and loved his job. This hotel deserves a lot more recognition. Thanks, guys.

We had a great weekend at the hotel and around the area, and everything was going perfectly until the last day. An expected parking charge showed up on my credit card, but later that night there was an additional charge I hadn’t authorized. I asked someone in the lobby about it, and she couldn’t see any reason for the extra charge. I was told to wait 10 days for the refund, which is frustrating. The hotel should look into how this happened and make sure it doesn’t happen again. Without this issue, our stay would’ve been perfect.
