The room let me down a bit. The AC was unreliable and made noises all night, and it felt humid and stuffy in there. The shared bathrooms and other communal spaces, though, were always very clean. The hostel’s right on the lake, in a great location, and had nice events during the week. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

The common area was a really nice place to hang out, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had my own car, so the parking on-site came in handy. The showers were fine, though not for anyone who’s very timid, but they probably wouldn’t want to share a room with a bunch of strangers anyway. I stayed in January 2007 and would come back next time I’m in town.

This was my first hostel stay, and I had a great time. I shared a room with five other people, and there are small lockers in the rooms for valuables. Breakfast is included, with bread, fruit, coffee, and cereal. It was good, but I hope they add more variety. The staff were good too. Vo helped me during my stay, and he gets a 10/10 from me, very nice and helpful.

The rooms had a strange smell, maybe because the hostel is so close to the lake, and it can get really hot too. We enjoyed our stay, though. It’s a well-located place with the usual offerings: free breakfast, wifi, and daily activities. There’s parking out front, and the fresh towels were great. We met an eclectic mix of other guests, but they weren’t very social, which could put some people off.
