Hilton Garden Inn Austin Central

The room was very comfortable, quiet and nicely laid out, with crisp linens and curtains that blocked out every bit of light. Parking was very convenient, and the hotel itself is beautiful. It was even better than some places I've paid more for. I didn't want to get up as early as we had to in order to get back to San Antonio. Thank you to the owners. I'd stay again if I'm in the area, but I'd skip breakfast and don't recommend it. Today is February 27th of 2026. The front desk staff were helpful and attentive, greeted us politely and explained everything. The hotel was on point in every other way, but breakfast was bland and not worth $15. I had vouchers and hoped it would be better. The hot options included two kinds of what tasted like powdered eggs, limp-looking bacon, roasted potato cubes, waffles and something else I can't remember, maybe pancakes. There were also assorted juices and cereals with milk. The person servicing the tables was exceptionally helpful.

The rooms and location were pretty much what you'd expect, nothing special. The bartender is why I gave it five stars. Lala has such warm energy that you feel welcome as soon as you sit down, and she keeps the atmosphere relaxed and fun. Her cocktails are delicious and beautifully presented, whether it's a classic or something creative. She knows her craft, pays attention without hovering, and remembers what people like. If she's behind the bar, you're in for a great experience. Highly recommend!

After a couple of flights were delayed and canceled this week, I just wanted to reach the hotel, shower and sleep. I was tired and not my usual perky self, and may have sounded short during check-in. The young woman at the counter was really empathetic and went out of her way to show she understood. She represented Hilton so well, and I'm glad she was there. The room was great too, as it usually is with Hilton.

Lala at the bar was phenomenal, making drinks that felt like liquid poetry. Her skill is unquestionable, and her presence alone turns the bar into a destination. The vibe was immaculate. I'd book here again just to sit at her bar and watch her work. Naomi at the front desk was attentive and very helpful, setting a good tone for the whole stay. We had a great time at this Hilton Garden Inn.
