For a low-cost, no-frills Inn, the room was surprisingly comfortable, clean, and nice-looking. It had wood-look floors, a refrigerator, and a microwave. The AC did a pretty good job despite the humidity, and the high, firm beds had decent sheets and pillows. We didn’t try the Mexican Restaurant next door. There were lots of work trucks in the lot on a weeknight, but we didn’t hear any partying. The pool was covered up in late summer, so check on that before you go. My husband and I would probably stay here again for the price.

I had no choice but to stay because I couldn’t afford to waste the roughly $125 I’d lose for one night otherwise. I was unhappy with the experience and would like my money back. The pool was closed. The place felt shabby and creepy, and it looked nothing like the online pictures. The outside was old and needed paint. I was told it had been remodeled, but the furniture was old and broken, the room was small, and the gray paint made it feel smaller. The bathroom was very old, and the walls had been covered with paint instead of properly repaired. There were fingerprints on the bed furniture that wouldn’t come off. 4-21-2023

The room had a strong moldy, musty smell, and there was a handprint on the TV. We went straight back to the front office to ask for a refund. Instead of processing it properly, they charged my card twice. My bank reversed the charges, and we found a better hotel elsewhere. I’d found this motel through a booking site. The price looked like a deal and the photos made it look nice, but in person it looked nothing like them and wasn’t a good deal after all. We even saw what looked like a drug deal in the parking lot right when we arrived, though we decided to try the room anyway.

For $170 a night, I expected more. There were roaches in the bathroom, no floor molding there, and nowhere to hang toilet paper. The bathroom had no trash can of its own, just one for the whole room. The shower water would suddenly turn cold, the sink drained poorly, and there was a hole in the bedsheet. The hair dryer was broken, there was very little lighting, and glitter on the floor made me wonder how much cleaning happens between guests. At least there was no carpet and the AC worked. It wasn’t the worst room I’ve paid $170 a night for.
