I was excited to stay here, and my kids were too. At check-in, they asked for a card on file, which was fine, but nobody told me it needed to have more than an X amount available or that they’d charge it right then. They wouldn’t accept my card. I explained that I have my debit card in g-pay and could pay that way, but they wouldn’t take it. My husband had to take our other car more than 3 hours away to pick up his kids from his ex. He needed the physical card because he doesn’t use G-pay and I do. I thought that would solve the problem. I had no idea they didn’t accept tap to pay because nobody notified me. The woman checking me in was super rude, even though I was upset about the situation too. I called today because the refund still hadn’t gone through. They told me they wouldn’t refund me because the site I booked on has a no cancellation policy. Almost $300 down the drain because they wouldn’t accept tap to pay.

After one night at Sleep Inn & Suites Austin - Northeast, my husband woke up with bed bug bites all over his body. I’m disgusted and outraged. We trusted the hotel to be clean and safe, and this was completely unacceptable and a serious health issue. Bed bugs don’t appear out of nowhere. To me, this points to poor housekeeping and management negligence. I’ll be reporting it to the local health department. Save yourself the misery and stay somewhere else. Avoid this place at all costs.

We left some things behind, and the staff, housekeeping, and management went out of their way to get our forgotten items back to us quickly. That made for a great stay during and after the visit, and we’ll stay again next time we’re in Austin. The room was solid for the rate, evenings were very quiet, and breakfast was great.

The sink in the bathroom is clogged, the carpet has stains, and the sheets are untidy. There’s also an unpleasant smell in the room. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews.

The free breakfast was delicious and fresh each morning, and the location made it easy to get around, close to everything. The staff gave amazing customer service and made me feel welcome. I had such a great stay at Sleep Inn & Suites Austin and definitely recommend it. 🏨🌟🥞
