The apartment was in great shape, with an amazing downtown view, and I loved the outdoor seating area and the amenities. We had a two-bedroom and really enjoyed our stay. The location is handy too, with a Target and Starbucks downstairs. The main problem was the air conditioning. It was almost 100 degrees outside, and at first no air came through the vents. Someone in the lobby said it was a central system, so there was no thermostat for us to control. Customer service moved us to another room right away, but even there the airflow was only a little better and the room stayed hot. They provided fans, though they didn’t do much. If you don’t want to sweat at night, I’d suggest staying in winter.

The heat made it impossible to sleep. The AC didn’t seem to work, and the box fans they gave us did nothing. We ended up cutting our vacation short because we were so sleep deprived. There was visible mold in the unit, and it didn’t look like the website photos either. Parking was a hassle, with no in-and-out access to the garage and very high rates. When you need help, expect to sit on hold for 10 minutes before anyone answers. That’s a frustrating way to spend a vacation. Hopefully this review stays up long enough to help someone else. Book somewhere else, even a Motel 6 would be better.

There’s no front desk person to send up if you need help, and it can take a day for someone to come to your room. Also, be ready to pay around $15 or more per day. If you’re visiting UT Austin, though, the location is right on campus. There are two rooms, two bathrooms, and at least two beds, and it was quiet at night.
