Sonder at The Domain

This is my first time getting an apartment on my own, and Leila was patient, organized, and determined to get me moved in this month. From applying to approval and signing the contract took only a week. Makenzie also helped me with verification when I was having trouble with my bank. I’d recommend this apartment to anyone looking in Austin, especially first-timers. The staff deserve a raise! The Domain is a ten-minute walk away along a beautiful path. There are lots of restaurants, shops, bars, and even a Whole Foods. Happy apartment hunting!

The location is fantastic. We can walk to Whole Foods and the Domain, while being away from the noise and theft we dealt with closer to the heart of the Domain. It’s quiet, there are lots of little animals around, and I haven’t had the fine silt dust problem I experienced deeper in the Domain. I’m starting to love living here. A few months ago, we moved in and had a terrible start. Our apartment had a lot of problems, including multiple floods from the upstairs neighbor, and it was hard to get them resolved. My husband posted a very negative review. After the regional manager saw it, he contacted us. A lot changed at once: we got a new dishwasher, bathtub, and ice maker, the sink and cabinet were replaced and rebuilt, and the ceiling was repaired and painted. Several staff members were replaced, and community beautification work got underway. We took down the negative review, and I’m writing now because I’m extremely happy with the recent changes. I went from regretting leaving a place I loved to looking forward to our life here. The team is working hard to put things right. Their kindness, willingness to listen, and persistence until we felt the issues were fully resolved have been refreshing and much appreciated.

Update: Radius has improved so much over the past year, after being our home for the last five years. But on 01/21/26, residents were told the water would be shut down from 9 to 2. I’m writing at 6:10 pm the same day, and it still hasn’t come back on. I appreciate how responsive the lease agents have been, but management needs to improve its updates and have a plan B, since many residents made plans based on the original information.
