Staybridge Suites Austin

Samuel was the only staff member who treated me kindly. Everyone else was rude and discriminatory, and management dismissed every complaint. I called three times before arriving after a 12-hour shift and a 16-hour drive, asking about checking in between 9 and 10 a.m. Nobody mentioned an early check-in fee, then I was told one applied and had to sleep in my car. The dishwasher was broken, the walls were dirty, and the plates and bowls that were supposed to be in the room were missing. There was no compensation for the dirty room or broken dishwasher. One morning, three Hispanic people were eating breakfast around 6:10. When I went for a little eggs, the breakfast worker yelled that breakfast didn’t start until 6:30. I’m not Hispanic, so it felt like I wasn’t allowed to eat early while they were. This was the worst Stay ridge suites I’ve stayed at. The rest of the staff should take a page from Samuel.

Samuel made me feel welcome from the start. He was pleasant, professional, and went out of his way to answer all our questions. You can tell he takes pride in managing the hotel well. I’m staying at Staybridge in Austin now, and if I come back to Austin, I’ll book here again because of Samuel. Highly recommend!

Samuel was really nice and professional, and I’d still stay here again. I gave the room four stars because I’m not sure whether the curtains get replaced after every checkout. The bathroom could use a thorough cleaning too, since it had a foul, pee-like smell. I’m sure they’ll sort it out in time.

It’s been a long time since I met someone with such a genuine desire to help people. Dianna at reception welcomed us with a smile and was so nice. She’s a real asset to the place.
