Catalina Courtyard Suites

The all-day snack room was a generous touch, with coffee, tea, juice, yogurt, muffins, oatmeal, cookies, and pastries. Staff were extremely welcoming, answered our questions, and even found a place to store our luggage before and after checkout to work with the ferry schedule. We also enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit in the shared courtyard and chatting with other travelers. It was a cozy, inviting find, with an adorable courtyard, accommodating staff, comfortable beds, and a nicely furnished room. The large jetted tub was a nice extra, though I wish the water had been hotter and the jets stronger. The couch opens into a futon for one more sleeper, suitable for a child or young teen, but not anyone bigger. We’d definitely stay again.

We stayed in the Penthouse Suite at Catalina Courtyard Suites for a girls’ weekend in November, and we really wished we could have stayed longer just to sit with coffee and take in the ocean view. It may be the best view on the island. The suite is only steps from the main drag, yet felt peaceful, private, and serene. Bars, Ralph’s, restaurants, shops, and the island’s main attractions were all easy to walk to. The late-night arrival was handled so warmly. There was a phone to call for help, and Ignacio answered right away and came to greet us in person moments later. The suite was immaculately clean, with lovely upgrades. Although it’s huge, the decor and furnishings make it feel inviting and cozy. Unique books and antiques are thoughtfully displayed throughout, with a story in every corner. It was an unforgettable girls’ getaway, and we can’t wait to return. Highly recommend Catalina Courtyard Suites, especially the Penthouse Suite.

The room was spotless and comfortable, and we loved the big jacuzzi tub. The young woman at the front desk was kind, informative, and accommodating. It’s beautiful and has an “Old World” charm. We’ll definitely stay here next time we visit the island.

We’ve been to Catalina many times, but this was our first stay at Catalina Courtyard Suites, and it was easily our best hotel stay there. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is just off the beachfront, set back enough to feel private. Our cute, comfortable room had a jacuzzi tub and was next to the beautiful courtyard, where there’s a cozy fire pit in the evenings. We’re already planning a spring visit and will ask for the same room.
