The dining was a letdown too. Breakfast was only available at Starbucks, and the main dinner choice was Bourbon Steak, far beyond what many families might budget for a casual resort meal. We tried Corsair once and were told it was fully booked, despite the dining room looking nearly empty. The next day we waited over 15 minutes outside in scorching sun without a host or server greeting us, so we left and ate off-property. We chose JW Marriott Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura specifically for the on-site water park. Before booking, I even called the water park to check that all the attractions would be open. When we arrived, though, the younger children’s play area was completely closed and only 3 of the 6 larger slides were running. I understand the water park may be managed separately, but it’s promoted as a major resort amenity. Closures like this should be clearly disclosed on the resort website so families can make informed choices before spending hundreds of dollars. Our children were extremely disappointed, and the family weekend felt like a waste of time and money. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. Still, the lack of transparency about the water park and the disappointing dining experience significantly affected our stay. Families considering this property should check which amenities are operating before booking.

Matias by the pool gave us EXCEPTIONAL service, give that guy a raise. Every staff member we interacted with was great, and the service really is top notch. We had an amazing time at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry. All the food we ate on site was delicious, and the kids had so much fun at the water park. We’ll definitely be back!

Everyone was warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The food was amazing, with excellent quality and great variety. JW Turnberry Resort & Spa is beautiful and well maintained, and has what you need for a relaxing, luxurious getaway. Our room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable. Fantastic hospitality throughout, highly recommended!

There’s easily enough to keep you busy for a full week. The water park is phenomenal, with attractions for toddlers through teenagers, and there’s plenty to do on-site beyond the water activities. The facilities are outstanding. Even with all the crowds and celebrations, JW Marriott Turnberry Resort & Spa in Aventura somehow makes each guest feel like they matter. The attention and care really stood out. Boris, Shelly, and especially ***Sesil*** went above and beyond to make my girls’ birthday celebration unforgettable. They arranged balloons, cake, chocolate-covered strawberries, ice cream, and even two thoughtful gifts. They were kind, creative, and genuinely caring, leaving nothing overlooked. Staff across the property were prompt with requests and clearly focused on making guests happy. People walked around smiling, with a real spring in their step. This resort knows how to make celebrations and memories. We can’t wait to return!

We’ve stayed at this hotel 5 times, but we won’t be back. There were some good points: booking though Amex came with great perks, and the VIP check-in area is wonderful. The room was nice. The problems outweighed those positives. We waited an hour for our car from valet parking and asked about it 3 times. Each time they said, “your car is on the way.” It turned out that was a lie, and valet had brought a bring car by mistake because they confused the ticket. Unacceptable. Several water park slides were closed with no advance notice. One morning our keys stopped working, and getting back into the room was a complete mess that took 45 minutes. At Corsair, the table and chairs were dirty. We looked around for 10 minutes, then gave up and cleaned them ourselves with napkins.
