The big fire pit was cozy, and the jacuzzi was spacious, clean, and extra hot. Sadie and Ruby at the front desk were wonderful, as was Jeffrey at the bar. Some of the other staff could be friendlier. The rooms are the standard Springhill setup, which is nice for consistency, and breakfast is typical Marriott continental fare. The gym has plenty of equipment, though it wasn't spotless and had no wipes. A gas station next door is handy for basics, and the shuttle helps with getting to certain areas. The location itself is isolated, with no restaurant choices nearby, and delivered food comes at mountain resort prices. The restaurant's snack and limited menu weren't available. Laundry was a hassle: you need to register in an app and pay a $10 minimum, or use quarters. Each load costs $2.50. I'd come back at a competitive price, but otherwise I'd choose somewhere more walkable.

We really enjoyed our stay at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Avon Vail Valley. The valley views are beautiful, and the location worked perfectly for us. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and clean, and it was nice to have Tesla charging stations. The staff were helpful and friendly. We also liked having a bar on site for drinks or a light dinner, plus the warm pool and relaxing jacuzzi. Everything was well maintained. I'd happily recommend it to anyone visiting the Vail Valley.

Our room was clean, but the rest of the stay was a mess. We arrived around 10 on Sunday and were told one of our three rooms was ready, which was fine since check-in was later. The front desk assured us the other two would be close by. About half an hour later, after we headed toward the pool, we checked again and were told both rooms were ready. They weren't near the first one. When we said we'd wait, they told us those were the only two left: one on the first floor, one on the third, while our first room was on the fourth. We found that unacceptable, but were told there was no manager on site, so we took the rooms. About an hour later, my son called to say his room had no hot water. I told him to report it at the desk. An hour and a half passed without anyone checking, so around noon I went down myself. Nobody was at the desk at first. A man came around the corner and said someone would be right there. When I explained, he shrugged and said he'd call engineering again. Another 30 minutes went by, still no one came. I returned and asked a desk supervisor to have engineering meet me so we could go to the room together. First I was told engineering was on break, then that engineering had no managers or supervisors on Sundays and he was the only manager on duty. We left after one night, though we'd booked three, and stayed elsewhere. I'll never stay here again. I also emailed the General Manager and never got a response. I'd like a follow-up. The place needs better training and management.

We had a great stay. The hotel was clean, the location suited us, and the staff were friendly. Our room was good and had nice amenities. I was surprised there was a parking fee. Breakfast could also use some vegetarian and vegan choices for guests.
