I didn’t notice when booking that I’d been given a smoking room, so check Booking.com carefully for “Non-Smoking” in the title and details. I assumed that was standard. The room also wasn’t very clean: the TV was visibly dirty, there were cigarette holes and writing on the comforter, graffiti in the bathroom, and grime on the shower walls. The bed was really uncomfortable, and the pillows were a joke. You’d need two to get the support of one, but there were only two for the two of us.

I called to book a room for my dad, who’s 64, since the motel is close to my home. When they asked his age, the person on the phone said he had too many problems with old people and wouldn’t let him stay. I assured him my dad didn’t need handicap accommodations, but he still refused and hung up. This place is prejudiced.

The maids were kind, but the hotel itself was dirty, neglected, and disgusting, and the management was rude. I woke up so sick that I couldn’t dress myself and had to call my daughter. The male manager accused me of being on drugs and said he was calling the police. As we were helping me to the car, he and another man were laughing at us, as if it was funny that I’d gotten sick there. I’d just read another review saying someone came down with scabies, so I wonder if that’s what I had. This place is a health hazard and needs to be put out of business.

I didn’t even ask for a refund. I just wanted to explain why we didn’t want the room after finding an old red-stained sheet in room 115. I’d been there less than an hour, and the stain was clearly old. When I showed it to the male front desk clerk, he got defensive and rude, blamed me, and wouldn’t take any responsibility. I’d have liked to support the business, but I was treated extremely poorly. Best of luck.
