This worked well as a place for us and our dog to sleep after long days seeing Door County. The rooms were clean and spacious, parking was easy, and there are nice trails on the property for dog walks. Rob was very friendly and helped us register and understand self check-in. It’s not fancy, so look elsewhere if that’s what you need. There’s a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, and coffee maker, but little room for food prep. A freestanding counter in the rooms would help with preparing food for ourselves and our pets. I’d bring bottled water for coffee.

We’re already making plans to come back next year. Our simple one-room cabin was just right, and it was so quiet. There were plenty of towels and cleaning soap, plus a welcome package with Door County Coffee, tea, and chocolate. We didn’t need any extra help, but knew we could reach someone by call or text. We arrived on Saturday and really enjoyed the stay.

We barely heard anyone else staying there, so it was really peaceful, and the room had lots of space and towels. We needed help once while checking in, and they answered right away and got us sorted. It’s also handy for getting around, and we’d definitely book again. The TV is for DVDs only, and you can borrow discs from the office, so bring something if you want background noise while spending a lot of time in the room. The welcome book mentions that the well water has a smell. We brought a gallon of our own for drinking.

The service was the standout for us, top-notch, with five-star treatment at 2.5-star prices. The location also worked well, close to many Door County attractions, and there was a fun trail game where kids or adults could find things and report back for a prize. We stayed three nights in the house with my family. It was spacious, with three bedrooms, four beds, and two full bathrooms, so everyone fit comfortably. I think we’ll stay here again. You can’t go wrong.

We could easily change our reservation when we had to leave a day early. The older motel and cabins were clean and quiet, though some electrical upgrades would be useful.
