The window was boarded up, and when I woke there were roaches in my room. The air conditioner was louder than a car running, so we barely slept. When I brought it up the next day, they were rude and didn’t seem to care. Do better.

The room was a mess, though I checked the bed and didn’t see any bugs, so I made do. The shower had hair all over the walls, dresser drawers were falling out, and someone had tied a plastic bag around the smoke alarm. The doors wouldn’t shut properly, the frames looked chewed up, and the connecting door wouldn’t lock, so I had to block it with a table. I’d found the place on Booking.com, where the reviews looked great, and drove an extra 45 minutes because of them. I was really disappointed when I arrived. I paid $79 thinking I’d found a secret deal, but it felt like I’d been lied to. I’ve heard some hotels put their worst rooms aside for discounted booking sites. Not cool. Maybe I got the Booking.com room special.

I’ve stayed here at different times over the last four years, and they’ve always looked after me. I’m a little particular and ask for the same room every time, and they’ve never let me down. The outside might fool you, but the way they treat you is what you’d expect. Breakfast is also a handy, quick start to the day.

I went through three rooms, and none was clean. The first one already had people in it, so I returned to reception and was given another room, but it hadn’t been cleaned either. The third was the same. I asked them for a clean room or my money back, but they said there were no clean rooms available. The woman at reception didn’t look very presentable for someone working at a motel. This was a terrible place. I don’t recommend it, just drive past.
