Brookside Hideaway, Brook Road Inn

I'm very disappointed. I booked an overnight stay for my Uncle's memorial service, but several people in the house got sick and we couldn't go, since many family members at the service were elderly. I've called, texted, and left voicemails multiple times, but no one has returned them or offered any help. Even the answering service couldn't reach anyone. It's been over a week, and I still haven't heard from Kayla, who I understand is the property manager. Other reviews made this property sound helpful with customer service.

Affordable and an interesting place, like a college dorm crossed with a ski lodge. The beds are so soft they were painful for my back. You have to cross public hallways to reach the bathroom. I won't return if I care about my back.

It's a comfortable, welcoming old boarding house in a beautiful spot near the lake and ski resort. The rooms are small, and many have their own bathroom. Guests share a kitchen and fridge, with a family room and lots of tables for meals in the common areas.

This is my fourth stay here. The inn feels peaceful and a little removed from town, so it feels like a getaway, but dining and entertainment are still close by.
