It felt comfortable, with just a touch of elegance. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back. I don't think another hotel could match that feeling.

Sherry was a wonderful chef, hostess, and docent, and the owners were very helpful. The house is full of amazing period antiques, and the CH is just five blocks from the square.

Breakfast was delicious, and the price was amazing. Mrs. Sherry was so sweet and attentive, too. My husband, our toddler, and I stayed in the Commodore Suite, which felt safe and homey. Everything was perfect, from the clean room to the clean bathroom. We'd definitely stay again if we need to.

We loved watching the birds feed and drink from the bird baths around the grounds. The Commodore is also close to the restaurants and boat basin landing. Katherine is a great cook and was flexible about breakfast time, whether guests needed an early meal for hunting or fishing or a later one for vacation. We had a very pleasant weekend, and even in cold January the room stayed warm and comfortable.

I came back each afternoon to work, and the WiFi was fast and reliable every time. The Commodore is an easy walk from the historic square, yet the street and surrounding area are quiet, so I slept well each night. I was in town for a last-minute business trip and couldn't find a nonsmoking hotel room, so I was glad this B&B was nearly the same price. I arrived around 9 pm, and the owner was there to get me settled. The Commodore suite was spacious, spotless, well stocked, and beautifully decorated, as was the rest of the house. Breakfast in the lovely dining room was wonderful, with portions so big I couldn't finish any of them. I'll be back for work in a couple of months, and I'm excited to stay here during the Christmas season. It's a magical place. I highly recommend the Commodore.
