The hikes were the highlight of my stay, and every one was interesting. The instructors and staff were all amazing. Bring good shoes and socks, plus sandals so your feet can air out. I also tried paddle boarding for the first time with Michelle, which was so much fun. Movara is a place to push yourself with hikes, gym classes, stretching, and yoga, not somewhere to lounge at the spa all day. I had to get used to waking up early for the 6:30 stretch before hikes, but after about two days the schedule felt normal, and starting that way set a nice tone for the day. The spa is lovely too, and I really enjoyed my massage with Trevor. They encourage you to listen to your body and offer different workout options and hiking levels. Still, I found it odd that the food plan doesn't focus more on maintaining or building muscle. It seems centered on low-calorie meals and healthy snacks. With how much everyone exercises, I think more emphasis on protein would help. My dad says he loses muscle as well as weight each time he comes, and that sounds like a setback to me. By Thursday or Friday my knees were extremely painful. I'm 31 and have never had that kind of knee pain before, and I hope it's nothing lasting or serious. I could have chosen an easier hike, but I wanted to see as much as I could.

I've been to Movara four times, and my next stay is already booked. The people who come here are the best, and the community feels unlike anything I've experienced as an adult. The staff make it feel like home, too. And the hikes are the best. Southern Utah is hard to beat, and the guides are so knowledgeable. They know where to take us and make every day a treat.

I'm leaving with knowledge I'll carry into my next chapter, and the experience has been life changing. Huge kudos to the staff, coaches, and hiking guides. I can't wait to come back.

This isn't a kick-back-and-relax kind of resort. You'll put in work and learn a lot, but it's a great experience. My wife and I really enjoy coming here. The staff and hiking guides go out of their way to make the stay enjoyable, and the views and hikes are breathtaking. Other guests make it special too, and we've come away with amazing friends. Give it a try, you'll love it.

I came to Movara at the start of the new year for a mental reset, and that's exactly what I got. The people and location were wonderful, as were the villa, resort, meals, hikes, classes, and massages. I met plenty of guests who were there for weight loss and had seen great results, but you can also come simply to refresh and reset. I had a beautiful week and will be back. Thank you, Movara!
