The rooms were clean, well maintained, comfortable, and well appointed, and the whole place felt completely relaxing. The staff were great too. I spent three wonderful nights at the Retreat. After tough but thoroughly rewarding backcountry hikes in Great Basin National Park, it was perfect to come back to a comfortable room. The night skies were awesome. On one 10-hour, 12-plus-mile hike, I think I saw only four people. Outstanding location.

We got to Hidden Canyon at dusk after a day on the road, with no dinner, and the hotel's little store had tons of food to choose from. The hot tub was lovely that night, though clouds kept us from seeing the stars. In the morning a herd of beautiful deer greeted us, and we fed them apples picked from the orchard on the grounds. It felt like heaven. The rooms are spacious but cozy, and the location is super convenient for Great Basin NP. We only had one night on our road trip back home to Texas, but we'll stay several days next time we visit the park.

Coming back from a morning hike in the national Park to rest here was just what we needed. It's a peaceful, quiet spot in a beautiful canyon. We picked apples, fed baby deer, then sat outside in the cool breeze listening to the creek. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with everything you need, and it seems lovely for families too. Such a hidden gem.

We hiked the resort's private canyon trail toward the park and didn't see anyone that day. The park is one of my favorites for hiking, and the canyon itself is beautiful. The staff were extremely helpful, the accommodations were great, and sitting in the hot tub under those amazing night skies was a highlight. This place is amazing.

We woke up to deer and wild turkey here, in this cool little spot tucked into the canyon. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, and there's a game room, pool, and hot tub. Staff were friendly and helpful. It's a tiny town with few places to eat, but the office has a good range of snacks and frozen meals. Definitely coming back!
