Sagebrush Inn

I was glad to see this place disappear in my rearview mirror. The walls were so thin I could hear people talking at normal volume in the parking lot. The thermostat sparked when it kicked on, and the toilet felt like it might fall through the floor because of a wax ring leak, plus more problems.

The shower didn't work at all after a full day of hunting. Its handle just spun without bringing out any water. I went to the front desk, but it was closed and locked. Once I got home, I saw I'd been charged twice for one night. I called, but the number went to a reservation line, which sent me to their “direct” line. That was automated, had no way to reach a person, and asked for a reservation number, even though I booked in person at the counter. Hopefully they'll fix this, but a credit card dispute was my only option.

The woman working there was very friendly, and because of her we'd consider giving this place another chance. It seemed understaffed at the time. We chose it as a stop on our road trip, but there were hardly any restaurants open at night and no fast food nearby. The lobby was empty; I used a walkie talkie to reach staff, and eventually a woman answered and said she'd come right up. She gave us the first-floor room we'd asked for, but none of its lights worked, there was no heat, only cold AC, and the shower wouldn't get warm. We asked for another room, which she politely provided. Things were better there: lights and heat worked, but the water pressure was very low, the toilet kept running, and the key didn't work well in the door. We made sure it was locked.

For the price, this was a comfortable, clean place with enough amenities to make my time in town as a traveler enjoyable and memorable. I stayed for months with my two animals and really loved it. Cheryl and the rest of the staff were always kind and quick to respond. I've been on both sides of the building, and the nicer rooms for me were nearer the check-in area. Be sure to look at the rooms, since you get what you pay for. I'd absolutely stay with them again. Cheers to everyone at Sagebrush, and thanks for making my stay comfortable! 🙏🐈🐈
