Super 8 by Wyndham Bakersfield South CA

We didn't stay the night. At 2 a.m. we had to leave the room because of bugs and the smell of smoke, and the staff refused to help. When we asked to change rooms after seeing the condition of ours, they said everything was occupied, even though rooms were clearly vacant. The photos on booking.com looked nice, but the place was a mess. There were cockroaches, visible damage and neglect, rooms smelled smoky, and it felt unsafe. The staff were rude. It might seem like a cheap option, but I really don't recommend staying here. Worst hotel or motel I've ever seen.

There was plenty of parking, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The front desk kindly handled my late-night arrival, and check-in was easy. Breakfast coffee was okay. The rooms were clean, and I'd stay here again.

I was only there for an hour, and they refused to refund the $350 I paid for three nights. I booked through Wyndham, and even after they called the hotel to confirm the refund, the hotel said no. The place is filthy and they don't care about customers. These people were rude and very unprofessional. I'll share the pictures and video if I can post them. That is what $350 got me for a stay I didn't use.

I was looking for somewhere to rest after a long drive, but this place was awful. The sheets were old and stained, the pillows were old and had no covers, and there were no towels or soap. I don't recommend it at all. Don't stay here.
