The carpet had clearly never been vacuumed, there were roaches in the shower, and the bedspread had stains I couldn’t identify. I’m a flight attendant and know hotels; I expected a dive motel, something like a Motel 6. This place makes a Motel 6 look like a four star hotel. I can’t understand how anyone would give it three stars. If zero stars were an option, it still wouldn’t deserve one. Don’t stay here unless picking up a 50 buck hooker and risking a healthy dose of hepatitis sounds fine.

I had to haul everything from my secure trailer up to the fourth floor, where I was told the nicer rooms were, because they wouldn’t let me park my motorcycle and trailer where I could see them or even in a lit area. I can only hope they’ll still be there in the morning. The room smelled of old mold, the shower had no pressure, the microwave didn’t work, and the fridge wasn’t plugged in. The furniture was awful, with stains on the chair and foot stool. This roach motel charged $5 for a key despite my prepaid reservation. They gave me a remote and made me sign a waiver saying I’d keep children from watching the porn channel on televisions that looked like they were made in 1985. There was a woman standing in the hallway by the elevator who asked if I was traveling alone; I avoided eye contact. The only reason I didn’t give the place one star was that there weren’t dead bodies chalked out on the floor. If you’re after a cheap getaway from your wife with an ugly prostitute and an uglier room, it might suit you. For everyone else, probably not.

In daylight, the place looks nice, but evenings brought door slamming and suspicious activity in the halls. On my way to work, cockroaches as big as my hand were crawling around. I was pulled over by Baldwin park police, who asked what I was doing coming from that motel. It looked like everyone there was on some kind of drugs. The owners don’t seem to have upgraded anything since the 1970s. It’s a horrible place to stay and not appropriate for children.

About a week ago, we were in the area and everything else was booked, so we checked in here. When we drove out to get food, a cop pulled us over and quickly told us the place was a haven for drug dealers and sex offenders. We’d only been stopped because we had driven out of this hotel. Needless to say, I ran and didn’t look back. None of the other reviews do this place justice.
