Courtyard Ocean City Oceanfront

We had dinner and breakfast at The Captain's Table on the 3rd floor, and both the food quality and service were excellent. Lynne and Abigail deserve a shout-out. Terri at the front desk was charming and professional, too. The rooms were spacious and spotless, and the boardwalk location is fabulous. We’d absolutely return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Ocean City, MD.

We had a very clean room with an ocean view at a great price, and lots of good restaurants are close by. I loved opening the screened slider and listening to the water. The staff were great, and I’d definitely stay again. They didn’t tell guests the key system was being updated, so we had to get the keys reprogrammed. I also wasn’t happy about being charged for parking when there was plenty of free street parking at that time of year. They gladly reversed the charge once I said I wouldn’t use the parking. We visited in late October.

The restaurant and bar were a bright spot. It’s a quiet place with good food choices, and the bartender and waitress were both exceptionally friendly. The hotel has an odd layout and a funky feel, but it was fine overall. Parking is tight and costs extra, though having it right there is handy. The location right on the boardwalk is fantastic, but the hotel feels dated and didn’t live up to the Marriott Courtyard name. The front desk service was just okay, neither especially friendly nor rude. From outside, the building brings to mind the boardwalk’s older heyday. I’m guessing it dates from the ’70s or ’80s and hasn’t had a real update since. With a refresh inside and out, this could be a five-star place.

Our room was modern and spotless, and we enjoyed the stay. The heat kept making an annoying tapping sound, though. We were there in winter, so I don’t think it would be a problem in summer. The conditioner dispenser was empty, too.
