Hilton Garden Inn Baltimore/White Marsh

The rooms seemed reasonably clean, and the stay itself wasn't bad. But when I came back a few days later to book again, they wouldn't let me check in because of a note claiming I'd smoked in the room. They said it was a cigarette-like smell, even though I don't smoke cigarettes, and suggested they could check the cameras. Given the front desk staff's demographic, I can't help feeling discrimination may have played a part.

We come back for about a week each January, and we've done that for the past three years. Every stay has left me satisfied. Jay, the manager, is consistently professional, and Cindy is always lovely with my kids. The rooms are clean, the children love the pool, and the adults enjoy the hot tub. We also always like the morning breakfast. It really feels like a second home, and the service is immaculate. I can't say enough good things about staying here.

It feels like home here, somehow even better. I've stayed a few times, and the people are kind and put real care into looking after one another, the decorations, and the place itself. It's clean and simple, warm and calming, without feeling overwhelming or overly fancy. The food is superb and worth the price, and the location is convenient too. I love that it feels welcoming to everyone.
