Days Inn by Wyndham Eagle River

Circle K is basically across the parking lot, and there's a small bar between it and the hotel, all part of one complex. The rate was good, especially for such a busy weekend. Our room had a fridge and microwave, though no coffee maker. There was coffee at the front desk whenever I checked, and honestly, who uses the in-room ones anyway? The pool area was okay, with a nice main pool that had a little jog in it, making laps doable. The hot tub was like lava on night one, easily one of the five hottest I've been in. By the second night it was more normal and no longer scalding, but still not cold. Going back and forth between the two water features was fun.

Service was awesome, and it was a clean place to wait until my cabin opened for the rest of my stay. There's a mini fridge, a pool, and a hot tub. It's right in snowmobile country, but trailers can get in easily, so anglers can use it too. Time to fish!

The hallways smelled really fresh, and the room was super clean and smelled amazing. The common areas, especially the breakfast hall, were cleaner than I've seen in a while. The front desk staff were friendly, and so were the housekeepers.

Parking was nearly impossible, with snowmobile trucks and trailers taking up space at both the front and back. We wanted to use the hot tub but couldn't either night because four or five people had it full. Last time we stayed, we had a good experience; this visit wasn't the same. We were in room 137, and the bathroom was a letdown. I disliked both the shower and its floor. Water ran out and made a little puddle under the door, and there was no shelf or holder for shampoo, soap, or body wash. The plastic chair in the shower and cheap curtain didn't help. The lighting was dim with nothing over the mirror, there was no Kleenex, and the bathroom just wasn't nice.
