The Inn at Henderson's Wharf, an Ascend Collection Hotel

Great location for walking across Fells Point, and the hotel still feels quiet and private. The daily happy hour and continental breakfast were both nice, and there’s coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available 24 hours. The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Tara was especially great. It’s family friendly and has become a favorite. We’ll be back.

We spent part of the winter holidays here and loved being tucked away by the water in historic Fell’s Point. The rooms were clean, with shops and restaurants an easy walk away. Everyone at the front desk during our visit was kind and helpful, and the lobby snacks and hot drinks were a nice touch. I’d recommend it.

The room was clean, and the small gym had what I needed. The staff were so politely funny, and we had genuinely enjoyable interactions with everyone we met. I wasn’t happy to see extra charges on the final bill. There was a daily amenities fee, plus a charge for checking in early, which we weren’t told about when we arrived half an hour ahead of time. We travel in the off season, and there were plenty of rooms open, so the surprise fee left a bad impression.

For my work trip, I stayed at The Inn at Henderson's Wharf, right on the marina in Fells Point. The neighborhood has cobblestone streets, water views, history, and plenty of character, and I’d choose it again for a Baltimore visit. The historic building has exposed brick, dark wood, and lovely decor. The hallways even gave me the feeling of walking through an old ship, Titanic vibes in a good way. The room was comfortable, with a good bed and coffee in the room. Breakfast was included each morning: fruit, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, danishes, English muffins, and a fancy machine for lattes, mochas, and other drinks. There was also a complimentary glass of wine at happy hour from 5-6 pm. The staff were helpful, friendly, and accommodating throughout, and the service made me feel well looked after. My government rate was about $145 a night, which seemed fair for the location and the overall experience. There were a few quirks that come with an older hotel. On two of the three days, I had about 15 minutes of hot water before it went cold, and the pipes and heating system could be noisy. That’s not a complaint, just something to know if you’re sensitive to it. I’d absolutely stay again. The charm, setting, and staff more than made up for those minor age related issues. This was a five star stay for me.
