The location was convenient, and I hope the business makes the improvements it needs, because the place could have been great. But it felt really unclean: stained furniture, dirty surfaces, dust, a lingering smell, and a dirty shower. In my view, an older space is easier to forgive when it’s clean. There were also lots of repair issues. Holes in the walls, a bathroom door that looked smashed with a hammer, broken outlets, a strangely bent metal hanger on the wall, and lights that didn’t work. The walls were so thin I could hear everything on the street, and the place was drafty. There were only two very thin pillows. Capital improvements and repairs are badly needed.

The building felt like it was crumbling, from floors to ceilings to walls. Floorboards were raised enough to trip over, and there were open holes in the walls and ceiling. In the room, I found black dust in the bathroom, broken light shades, just two small pillows on a king bed, cigarette burns in the sheets, and a couch with visible stains. I’ve stayed in some strange and uncomfortable hotels, but this was one of the worst. Maybe money is the issue, but a lot of what made the stay so bad felt like a lack of care and respect for guests. The place felt cursed.

The front desk woman was so friendly and patient, and she really tried to help. The rooms are clean and always smell nice. One of the best motels or hotels I’ve stayed in. I’d definitely recommend it.

This was the worst hotel stay of my life. The area is awful, and the rooms smell musty. At 3 in the morning, someone tried to get into our room. The deadbolt didn’t work because the hole it was meant to slide into was about half an inch too high, leaving us with only the safety latch. My partner was awake and across the room when the door opened all the way. She yelled at the man, and he left quickly. Don’t assume the electronic locks are secure, either. The Baltimore Police Department were the only good part of the experience. They arrived and helped us get to our car after we spoke to the man at the front desk. He was no help and kept insisting the door worked. He also started talking about a man who sometimes trespasses in the hotel looking for empty rooms, which made it sound like he just lets that happen. We tried calling the front desk several times before calling the police, but got no answer. When the officers arrived, the desk man was there. He never explained why he hadn’t answered. We had to push to get any contact information, and he didn’t give us a phone number, so we took a photo of the contact card at the desk. An absolute nightmare. Not safe for women.

The lobby looked dingy and smelled like feet and corn chips, and there was a strung-out junkie outside. It gave more of a motel impression than a hotel. I wouldn’t recommend booking here. I lasted less than 45 minutes. I waited 35 minutes for my room, then a family arrived about ten minutes after me and got their room before mine was ready. They came back downstairs five minutes later as they were leaving and signaled that I should cancel and get my money back. When I asked for a refund, I was told to contact the company I booked through. That company said the manager had dodged their emails. Bad business all around. Owner or property manager, I need my refund ASAP.
